Original PDF

My application uses Ghostscript to convert PDFs to TIFs and generally it works fine. However, I have a situation where it's losing parts of the PDF after the conversion to .TIFF files. Please refer to the attached original PDF and the converted .Tiff file - at the top-right there's an invoice number which has blank space in between of the invoice number, digit 4 is missing. Also at the bottom of the first page, letter T is totally missing in the converted TIF.  The current version used in application is 9.18, however I tried to convert the same PDF with different versions(9.50,9.27,9.22,9.19) of GhostScript, but still the issue persists.

Here's the basic command I'm using:

"C:\Apps\ghost\gs9.18\bin\gswin64c.exe" -dNOPAUSE -r300 -sDEVICE=tiffgray -sCompression=lzw -dBATCH -sOutputFile="C:\Apps\ghost\gs9.18\bin\14929421.tif" "C:\Apps\ghost\gs9.18\bin\14929421.pdf"

Obseelting the PDF file is not helpful, how do you expect anyone to investigate the problem without access to the original file ?

Hi Ken, this is project specific data which I do not wish to include, there wasnt any option to delete the bug or attachment. I have added the snippet though

We don't ever delete attachments from Bugzilla, its hard to do without corrupting the database.

A picture of the PDF file is utterly unhelpful, so I've restored the PDF file, if you don't want me to do that then we can't look at your problem.

Thats okay Ken, you can please refer to the original pdf

You are not a commercial customer, do not adjust the importance or priority fields.

As per comment #12, you (Shell) are not a customer. We are very happy to receive reports from our free user community, and we will address them when we have resource to do so.

However our limited resources are directed primarily to supporting our customers.

This problem has been incidentally fixed in v.9.53.1 .
Akrati, please upgrade to the latest version, 9.53.3 .
This bug report can be closed.
