Unfortunately, Ghostscript developers don't have access to HP-UX and the core file is of little use to us. Please attach your PDF file. The bug may be reproducible on more common platforms. You can also try the current development version. There's always a chance that the bug has been fixed since the last release. If the problem exists in the current version but cannot be reproduced on common platforms, we need an account on a HP-UX box where the problem can be debugged.

Ghostscript Subversion repository is available for reading. See http://svn.ghostscript.com/ for details. Current development version has switched to a new PS generator. It should have completely new set of bugs. The old PS generator is still accessible through the command line, e.g. gs -sDEVICE=pswrite -o OUTPUT.PS INPUT.PDF I cannot reproduce the bug on Linux AMD64 or Windows i686. So debugging on HP-UX is necessary. My public ssh key is available at http://spectre.ghostscript.com/~alexcher/id_rsa.pub You need to add this key to SOME_HOME_DIR/.ssh/authorized_keys . BTW, the new generator seems to miss 0 termination in %%CreationDate: D:20101227172132-05'00'╠╠╠╠╠╠╠╠╠╠╠╠╠╠╠╠╠d
And the unterminated string is fixed by the rev. 11979. However, this bug is unrelated to HP-UX crash.

The firewall can be bypassed using "ssh -R ...". I'll set up a host for you to log in if you agree to do this. You can also try to compile gs using gcc. For instance: CC=gcc ./configure
