Small rectangles appear in texts (mainly infront of text "@Colonne")
when converting to TIFF-G4. They are not visible in Acrobat reader.

Reproduced with CVS HEAD.

The issue is same as described in the comment #8 of the bug 687510, but
this bug deals with the character \t (the code 0x09) in the font /Arial.
