If I try to change the page of a .prn file (not only the one you can find on my 
homepage), gsview 4.5 crashes with an "Assertion failed" error message (look at 
my homepage for an detailed image).
With version 8.11 there isn't this problem.

This last week I've had four reports of this bug from GSview users.
It is easy to trigger with output from the Windows PostScript driver.  
The problem occurs in GS 8.13, but not 8.11 or CVS head.
It only happens when -dTextAlphaBits=4 is used, which is the default
in GSview.  I've attached a shorter example file.

I'm not sure why Jeong assigned this to himself, but the fix
is well understood, and at this point we will need to do an
8.14 patch release. Darn!

Ralph does our releases, so I am assigning the bug to him.

We will need to discuss what other patches go into 8.14.

Closing, now that we have confirmation the fix has been backported for the 8.14
release.
