EPS file

Hi,

When I convert EPS to PDF using ps2pdf or gs command, am losing the grouping which was present in EPS file. Is there anyway I can retain the same grouping?

I am attaching both original EPS file and gs generated PDF files for your reference.

Thanks,

'Grouping' isn't a concept in either PostScript or PDF< can you explain more clearly what your perceived problem is ?

I am referring to Group, Ungroup option available in Adobe Illustrator. Isn't that an option in PostScript in general?

No. Its a feature of Adobe Illustrator and relies either upon:

1) Features of the Illustrator file format
2) Specially crafted comments in PostScript
3) PDf files containing the original Illustrator file format.

Just confirming to make sure that I understood correctly. Are you saying that the "grouping" can't be retained using gs command?
