PDF and PNG showing germandbls width issue

In "Nimbus Sans L Regular Italic" and "URW Nimbus Sans L Regular", the germandbls glyph is clearly narrower in the URW fonts, but the "width" metric matches. This
leads to annoying extra whitespace between the germandbls and the preceding glyph.

I think either the glyph itself should be widened, so it fits the width metric better. *Or* the glyph outline should be moved back slightly in the design grid, so the excessive preceding whitespace doesn't appear.

Attached is zip, in which is a PDF with the URW and Adobe fonts (subset) embedded, and PNG image of the output.
