gs -sDEVICE=x11cmyk examples/colorcir.ps is rendered incorrectly with xfonts but works okay with the regular font code.  See http://bugs.ghostscript.com/show_bug.cgi?id=692234 comment #13

We deprecated xfonts and were going to remove support in the next release I thought. Do we care about this problem ?

This isn't really "fixed", but now that the planned xfonts removal has been committed, the bug is no longer valid.
