The customer reports and I've verified that the attache PDF file is rendered almost completely blank with gs8.57 (and 8.62 and head (r8746)). Opening the file with Adobe Acrobat 8.0 or Apple Preview shows a complete page. The command line I'm using for testing: bin/gs -sDEVICE=tiff24nc -o test.tif ./img-Z28145827-0001.pdf

Yes, this is the same issue as bug 689841, and the is from a different model of Xerox WorkCenter. jbig2dec should be reporting a similar error, but instead fails silently.
The patch committed as r8778 allows Ghostscript to decode this file.
