Description Barry Kauler 2005-06-12 07:20:42 UTC
The title says it all.
I use the Gimp-Print (now called GutenPrint) IJS printer drivers.

In Puppy Linux I was using Gimp-Print 2.4.27pre1 and IJS 0.35
with AFPL Ghoastscript 8.11, and it worked fine.
Upgraded to AFPL 8.51 and found that the -sProcessColorModel command
line option causes a segmentation fault.

I tried latest GutenPrint, still crashes.

I tried latest ESP Ghostscript, 7.07.1 (which incidentally hasn't
been upgraded since 2003) and that works with -sProcessColorModel.

This option is very important for color handling of IJS printing,
so I am unable to use GS 8.51.
So, somewhere between 8.11 and 8.51 this bug has come in!

Please check whether the fix for bug 688048 helps.

Ah, bug 688048 is my exact problem.
I am using -sProcessColorModel=DeviceGray and getting the segfault.

Okay, I'll try the patch and report back.

I have applied the patch from bug 688048 to 8.51 source, and I'm happy to report
GS now does not crash! Thanks guys.
