Description Michael Osipov 2023-03-21 18:57:52 UTC
Inconsistency:
./configure --help says:
--with-libiconv=[no/gnu/native]
configure.ac documents:
maybe/yes/no/gnu/native

Confusion:
When passing 'native' I would expect it'd use the native impl of it in libc which FreeBSD has, yet it only checks for libiconv, but with 'maybe' it does check in iconv. At least from my PoV this is counter-intuitive. Alternatively, '--help' should describe what 'native' and 'maybe' are.

Using 10.01.0rc2 on FreeBSD 12.
