Converting some files from PDF to XPS results in a rectangles being drawn over the text.  For example:

  bin/gs -sDEVICE=xpswrite -o test.xps ./fts_20_2006.pdf

Commit 4df181c0f8323b84239cb46535494835931994b4 fixes this problem and improves some other files.

The xpswrite device did not implement clipping, at all, with the result that any clipped objects were drawn in their entirety.
