Description Hin-Tak Leung 2014-01-30 22:42:04 UTC
Splitting off from:
http://bugs.ghostscript.com/show_bug.cgi?id=694082#c2

"ESC * g <nbytes> W" is used by a lot of modern HP printers, in ways different and in addition to http://bugs.ghostscript.com/show_bug.cgi?id=694082#c2

The first byte is a sub-format tag.

at least the DeskJet 63x Series and DeskJet 65x Series use a different form as http://bugs.ghostscript.com/show_bug.cgi?id=694082#c2 .

Making this bountiable. If nobody wants to work on it we'll probably close it eventually.

I think I have seen a patch submitted for this or perhaps 694082 in the last year or so.

This isn’t quite the same as 694082 - and there isn't any substantial code done in this area yet.

If anything, bug 694997 is probably a duplicate of this - basically newer hp inkjects uses this "super" instruction with a large set parameters to replace the combination of 3 older instructions.
