It looks like the last files opened by Ghostscript are all related to X11. Can you check whether Ghostscript runs with other devices, for instance: gs -sDEVICE=nullpage examples/tiger.eps gs -sDEVICE=tiffg4 -sOutputFile=tiger.tiff examples/tiger.eps I've run gs with other devices, as requested. gs still segfaults: joost@teuctli:~/src/ghostscript-8.15/lib $ ../bin/gs -sDEVICE=nullpage \ ../examples/tiger.eps GPL Ghostscript 8.15 (2004-09-22) Copyright (C) 2004 artofcode LLC, Benicia, CA. All rights reserved. This software comes with NO WARRANTY: see the file PUBLIC for details. Segmentation fault and: joost@teuctli:~/src/ghostscript-8.15/lib $ ../bin/gs -sDEVICE=tiffg4 -sOutputFile=tiger.tiff ../examples/tiger.eps GPL Ghostscript 8.15 (2004-09-22) Copyright (C) 2004 artofcode LLC, Benicia, CA. Segmentation fault straces can be found at: <http://user.uni-frankfurt.de/~kremers/gs/> I will dust off my Mac and attempt to reproduce this. If I can't I'll close it. This bug can be fixed with the patch found here: http://lists.debian.org/debian-printing/2005/09/msg00000.html Thanks to Vince Weaver for spotting that this is a duplicate. I will remind Raph to elevate the review for bug 687643. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 687643 *** |
