Provide back-up definitions of /-| /RD /|- /ND /| /NP for the benefit of
embedded PDF fonts that forget to define them. Issue a warning when they
are used.
The patch is committed to GS_8_1X and HEAD branches. |
I am using ghostview 4.6 combined with ghostscript 8.14 on a PC under Windows ME and on a Notebook under Windows XP, updated with service pack 2. Neither with the first nor with the second installation I can open the file called, 'timetable.pdf' downloaded from the German railway company. The complete error message, ('Error: /undefined in RD') is attached below. I would have liked to attach also the downloaded file itself. However I do not know how to do this. (Actually I attached it before to an Email message to Russel Lang who guessed that it is really a bug, although he adviced me to report it on this form. He also mentioned that the bug would still exist in the Beta version of Ghostscript 8.33) Note that the same file i.e., 'timetable.pdf' can be opened on both computers without any problem using the Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 software.
