I have a crash in windows AFPL ghostscript 8.13 and not in 8.11
This is the installer program downloaded from cs.wisc.edu

I don't know what component the bug is in, so I classified it 'general'.  

using tex (both Windows MiKTeX and linux tex) create a .dvi with embedded .eps
using dvips create a .ps file
result:

1: Windows ghostscript 8.13 crashes when YAP .dvi viewer (from MiKTeX) tries to
show a page with the embedded .eps

2: No complaint when using dvips on windows ghostscript 8.13

3: Windows ghostscript 8.13 crashes when GSVIEW 4.6 tries to show a page of the
.ps with the embedded .eps

Sometimes part of the .eps is displayed before the crash

4: Windows ghostscript 8.13 does NOT crash when  using GSVIEW to view the
individual .eps files.

5: No complaint using ps2pdf, and the resulting pdf shows correctly in acrobat
reader.

Ghostscript 8.11 does NOT crash and it does render the pages correctly.
I cannot currently verify any other OS platform.

the .dvi and the .ps crahses AFPL ghostscript 8.13 on MS WindowsXP.
ghostscript 8.11 does NOT crash.
