Created attachment 8029 [details] example PDF file Cusotmer reports, and I've verified, that the attached PDF file should render with some text, and does with Acrobat and MuPDF. However with Ghostscript it renders as a plain gray page. Any command line seems to do this, but I tested with the Windows display device and all default settings: gswin32 page4.pdf I'm not at all certain this is a PDF interpreter bug but assigning to Alex for the initial investigation.
Added customer number, increased priority for customer bug.
This would seem to be a Jasper bug, building with either Alex's "experimental" OpenJPEG integration or Luratech gives good output.
Removing customer number as the customer has been advised to use the commercial build. This bug should be completely resolved with adoption of the OpenJPEG decoder.
Fixed by switching to OpenJPEG http://git.ghostscript.com/?p=ghostpdl.git;a=commitdiff;h=83b1e042
