6039e0750306e2c3442b03c9ed5f7afee33a5540 isn't on the gs9.04 branch.
Problem fixed on master. I can't explain what the problem on the gs9.04 branch is, so passing the bu(g)ck to Chris.
The 9.04 release candidate tag (which I will push to casper as soon my cable modem regains consciousness) works fine. With Robin having fixed the problem on master, I'm closing the bug.
