Build for WIN64 using VS2008 is not possible due to missing ending "\" in AUXDIR compile definition for genarch.o inside:
base\msvctail.mak

Suggested fix is attached.

Thanks, I actually made the change without realising you'd reported it and supplied a patch, so it is in git, commit:
