This is probably a duplicate of Bug 692074 but the symptoms are somewhat different so I felt it warranted its bug.  Portions of some pbmraw output files are black starting with r12232 (see the attached screenshot.png, the left portion is r12232, the middle is r12231, and the right is the difference).

The command line I'm using:

  bin/gs -sDEVICE=pbmraw -o test.pbm ./Openhuis_pdf_zw.pdf

OK.  That commit was the turning on of the fast thresholding code.  Likely there is some encoding going on incorrectly here.  Attaching simplified file.
