test.ps and the output pdf generated with gs 8.70 and gs 9.01

In the .zip-File attached to this bug you find an simple test.ps (generated with quark xpress 4.04) The pdf generated with ghostscript 8.70 is ok (see gs870.pdf)

If I'm generate an pdf from the same postscript-file (test.ps) with Release 9.01 the font in the pdf-file looks wrong.

best regards

Holger

This appears to be something to do with the use of the FreeType font scaler. Setting -dDisableFAPI=true resolves the problem. I suggest this as a work-around until the problem is properly addressed.

I can't seem to find a way to change the 'Component', but assigning to Ken
since this is a pdfwrite issue.
