Description Zoltán 2009-12-07 00:56:02 UTC
The attached file is a really badly designed one, but GS still should be able
to render it. However, watch the lower right text block from the page. You can
see multiple layers of text. The top layer (the C0M0Y0K100 coloured text) is
just partially rendered – moreover, the result may depend on the OS/driver
used. You may try using pdfwrite or tiff32nc.

Unfortunately the file is huge, and – as far for me – is too complicated to
reduce the size by cutting unrelevant parts. I suspect an access violation
during glyph rendering, but far from br sure about that.

Screen shot showing differences between Ghostscript tiff32nc and Adobe Acrobat
9 output. Alex says that the issue is indeterministic.

„Alex says that the issue is indeterministic.”
That’s why I suspect an access violation.

The sample file (84M) is available now at
spectre.ghostscript.com:/home/support/690981/Giurgiu.ps

The file renders OK now on all devices except x11alpha.
I'm reassigning this bug to Michael who own other x11alpha issues.

Alex, can you check that this monster file is now OK with the x11alpha device as of rev 12380. I dont want to spend my time downloading and you already have it. Thanks

Current version works fine.
Valgrind doesn't report any unusual warnings either.
