I'm new to Ghost Script so please excuse any dumb questions or answers. Converting a large Postscript (500 MB, 27,000+ pages, 18,000+ book marks (pdfmark)) to PDF (version 1.4) and job fails with error message: "Error: /rangecheck in --pdfmark--". Can be converted with Distiller Ver 4. Any hints on what can be wrong. It is not possible to share the PS file, it contains confidential data. Unfortunately, little can be done without your sample file. Please compress your file. If the compressed file is less than 20M - attach it to the bug report, otherwise put it on ftp or http server for download.
If you can't send this file, perhaps you can extract a sample that causes the problem and send that (after changing the confidential data). Also, please post the error message output after adding -dOSTACKPRINT -dESTACKPRINT If files are tagged as "Private", only Artifex staff can see them.

Unfortunately, this problem cannot be solved without a sample file. Feel free to reopen this bug report when you find a way to remove confidential information from your file and deliver it to Ghostscript developers.
