There is an issue with spacing in the last line of text ("Brooklyn!") when comparing GhostPCL head (r3089+8795) to an HP LaserJet 6MP. The command line I'm using: pcl6 -r600 -sDEVICE=pbmraw -sOutputFile=test.pbm ./T203.BIN
Created attachment 4108 [details] T203.BIN
Created attachment 4109 [details] ghostpcl.png Portion of GhostPCL output showing the spacing issue. On the HP LaserJet 6MP output the 'n' and the '!' do not touch.
Here the user is downloading 2 fonts "Brooklyn" and "Bravo". The last line takes the character data (the exclamation point) from the Bravo font and writes it to the Brooklyn font and uses it. The probability of this happening in a real job is very unlikely, but it is a valid bug.
set state to "remind me later" since no near term action is planned.
For customer bugs, it is better to leave them open. Closed bugs (even with REMIND resolution) will never show up in the tracker.
support is supposed to contact the customer about each of these problems. Also bugs status is pending on a support policy decision, whatever the outcome of that I don't have any more to contribute to the issues for now. Assigning back to support.
marking as LATER and will notify the customer.
