Viewing the attached PDF-file with AcrobatReader 8 and Ghostscript delivers a total different result. The graphics that you can see with the AcrobatReader you cannot see with the Ghostscript and vice versa. The file contains several images and image-masks which interpretation seems to be very different.

Created attachment 3842 [details] i5.pdf - simplified sample file This PDF file contains a single JBIG2 image. By some reason Ghostscript renders it blank.
Ralph owns jbig2.
The image in the simplified test file has and invalid segment length. This is the same Xerox WorkCentre bug that was addressed inbBug 689852. Applying the patch from r8778 should resolve this issue. However, there seem to be some scaling or compositing issues on top of the jbig2 issue. I get some vertical blank bands with the screen display, and no image at all with the ppmraw device at 300 dpi. Assigning back to support for review of this part.
With Rev 8838, Ghostscript output is identical to Acrobat Reader 7. We will contact the customer to see if they need a patch or can wait for the August 8.63 release.
Created attachment 4216 [details] patch This patch works with gs8.60 (and likely any later version).
