Likely this requires to port the logics of pattern_manage from the PS 
interpreter to the PCL interpreter. Rather pdfwrite can handle high level 
patterns, the PCL interpreter to be patched with generating them. Possibly some 
functions to be moved from the PS interpreter to the graphics library.
