Sorry, the Problem is with our Software that we install. I just installed a new Server with our software and it works fine. Our development section has to find their problem. Again Sorry, I am new at this. OK, I think I am going crazy. It seems I got to excited yesterday. The command works in X-windows only. If I use the command in tty1-6, it does not work. And since our Software starts without graphic interface on the server, it will not work. Info, from our Software we print the output instead of saving to a file as I do here. I don't think that makes a difference. So I am stuck again. Installed is: ghostscript-x11 8.64-6.2.1 ghostscript-library 8.64-6.2.1 ghostscript-fonts-std 8.64-6.2.1 ghostscript-fonts-std 8.64-6.2.1 Maybe I forgot Something? Ghostscript 8.64 is over a year old. Also, you haven't supplied files with which to test the issue. Using two random PDF files from my own test archive with GS 8.71 resulted in a valid PDF (no warnings nor crashes), so either the problem has been resolved in the last 18 months, or there is something specific to the PDF jobs you are using which causes the problem. So I would advise you to test on the latest release (8.71 and 9.0 is planned for the end of August), and if it still fails, reopen this bug, and attach suitable (ideally minimal) PDF jobs which illustrate the issue. Did you try this on openSUSE 11.2 64 bit without X-Windows? (In reply to comment #4) > Did you try this on openSUSE 11.2 64 bit without X-Windows? I don't have an OpenSUSE setup. I tried it on 64 bit Ubuntu 9.10 on a build done with "configure --without-x". I found out what was causing my Problems and Updated my Ghostscript. |
