Description Shobhit Jain 2008-10-14 06:30:27 UTC
Following scenarios has been observed while printing a pdf file from GS

Printer spooling memory and time taken to print

1. If we print a 3.5 MB file with Ghostscript directly from command line then
the file gets spooled in 50 MB space and gets printed in almost 40 seconds.

2. If we print a 3.5 MB file with Ghostscript from a web service then the file
gets spooled in 215 MB space and gets printed in almost 2.5 minutes.

Notepad font problem

If we print the pdf file (converted from some notepad file) using Ghostscript
via web service then the file fonts gets garbled in printing, while if the
print goes via commandline then no font printing problem has been observed.

Marcos will verify that the command line works OK and if it does he will close
the bug as WORKSFORME. We don't support any web server, so any problems there
are not something we will address.

The problem does not appear to be in Ghostscript, we correctly process both attached files in a reasonable amount of time.
