Customer reports failure converting PDF to tif. Original commandline:

D:\Program Files\gs\gs8.54\bin\gswin32c.exe -sDEVICE=tiffg4 -dSAFER -dBATCH
-dNOPAUSE -sOutputFile=convertme.tif convertme.pdf

Verified with HEAD on MacOS X with the X11 device:

A nicer error message would help here, along with some documentation of how to
fix it.

We probably need a "nicer" error message and some documentation on how to
fix the font not found for CIDFonts
