The provided patch (next post) is intended to add some flexibility to the build
process by allowing the user to choose between provided libs or those on his system.

He can also choose to omit to build the specified support.

Our policy is to support this by checking whether the relevant directory exists in the top level Ghostscript directory.

If that's really not sufficient, you can reopen the bug, I can discuss it further with my fellow Ghostscript developers.
