Description Ralph Giles 2003-10-21 05:07:56 UTC
This bug is a placeholder to record efforts to get all the distributions to
invoke ghostsript with the proper job-server options when it's used in a
printing context. Namely:

   -c "false 0 startjob pop" -f

and for gs 8.11 and later additionally:

   -dNOOUTERSAVE

Bug 624515 was formerly a placeholder for this, but the title was based on an
earlier problem report and confusing
Comment 1 Ralph Giles 2004-05-05 21:36:24 UTC
Mark this as enhancement to reflect it's practical priority.
Comment 2 Jack Moffitt 2004-06-18 10:19:40 UTC
We may not want to fully evalgelize this until 687079 is closed.
Comment 3 Ray Johnston 2011-07-26 18:39:25 UTC
Actually, the -dJOBSERVER option makes this much easier and those that need
actual printer emulation can now access this.

This has been part of our regression testing since forever. Closing as
WORKSFORME.

As far as the linux distro folks, they can use it if they want, but it won't
really do much for them.
